Key Biscayne, Florida On Florida's southernmost barrier island, this sophisticated Atlantic resort conjures images of the Colonial West Indies with its elegantly appointed accommodations, meticulous attention to detail and golden-sand beach setting.
Designed by tennis VIP and current ESPN commentator Cliff Drysdale, the resort's Tennis Garden is the largest and most complete of any Ritz-Carlton worldwide. The 10 clay courts and one hard court are each lighted for evening play, and when he's in town, Drysdale himself oversees day-to-day operations. Otherwise, a team of USPTA-certified pros conducts a variety of comprehensive daily workshops, round robins, and individual and small-group lessons. Highlights include adult shot clinics, Thursday doubles' nights, Saturday mixers, and two- and three-hour fast-paced drill clinics. Also available are the services of a private Tennis Butler, a staff pro on hand to provide cool mineral-water spritzes, cold towels and beverages, and game-improving tips.

Off the Court
In addition to sun-bathing, swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing from its pristine Atlantic beach, the resort boasts a 20,000-square-foot ocean-view spa offering more than 60 luxurious body treatments and massages. The spa-adjacent Wellness Center hosts yoga, aerobics, tai chi, body sculpting, Pilates, and Spinning classes, as well as an aquatic kickboxing program and an outdoor running camp; personal trainers can tailor programs to meet each guest's individual fitness goals. Although there is no golf available on-site, the resort can arrange tee times at the Crandon Park Golf Course, a five minutes' drive away.
Accommodations and Dining
The resort's 402 non-smoking rooms and suites each feature balconies or terraces overlooking the property's tropical gardens, Biscayne Bay, and the ocean beyond. Standard amenities include fluffy robes and slippers, fully stocked mini-bars, and marble-accented baths with European toiletries and full-length mirrors. The property's two on-site restaurants are Cioppino, which serves simple Tuscan cuisine, and the indoor-outdoor Cantina Beach, which features Mexican specialties served beneath a Baja-style thatched roof. Both offer breathtaking Atlantic Ocean views.
