 When to GO
Thanks to its generally dry and temperate climate, there's really no bad time of year to visit Sydney.
Pleasantly warm weather prevails in the spring and fall, and even during the cooler winter months (June, July and August) temperatures seldom drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. From December through February, daytime temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but although summer weather can be uncomfortably hot and humid, this is the best time to enjoy the Sydney beach scene.

Whenever you go, remember that ultraviolet radiation is particularly intense in this part of the world, and Australia has experienced unusually high rates of skin cancer. A painful and dangerous sunburn can creep up on you even on a cloudy day, so come prepared with a sun hat, protective clothing and generous amounts of high SPF sunscreen.
