 Novotel and Hotel Ibis Sydney Olympic Park 
Two separate hotels - both operated by the vast international Accor hospitality group - share this highrise complex near the Sydney International Tennis Centre at Sydney Olympic Park. Novotel, the more upscale of the pair, offers 177 rooms and suites with standard rates typically ranging from about AU$300 to AU$600, and off-peak discounts under AU$200 a night. Rates at the 144-room Ibis normally range from about AU$150 to AU$300, with discount rates sometimes dipping below AU$100. Visit the observation center on the 17th floor of the Novotel for a panoramic view of the Olympic Park facilities.

 Mercure Hotel Parramatta 
Mercure Hotels and Resorts, another brand in the Accor empire, manages this 164 room property about 10 minutes west of the Sydney Olympic Park in the suburb of Parramatta. The contemporary-style guest rooms and suites have undergone recent renovations, and on-site amenities include a spa, fitness center, swimming pool and outdoor tennis court. Rates generally range from about AU$150 to AU$400 a night.

The Rebound Ace tennis court at this resort-like all-suite hotel a few miles north of the Olympic Park was originally installed for the benefit of U.S. Olympic players who stayed here during the 2000 Summer Games. The hotel offers 217 spacious suites, many with balconies or terraces facing the lushly landscaped grounds, plus two restaurants, a 25-meter heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool and extensive meeting and event facilities.
