When to Go
Although there is no truly bad time of year to visit Paris, the most appealing weather comes during the mild months of springtime and in early autumn when fall color adorns the city's parks, squares and tree-lined avenues. Winter conditions are often cold and damp, but Paris can be just as lovely under gray skies as it is on the brightest spring afternoon, and there are plenty of museums and other indoor attractions to keep you busy on the rainiest of days. The height of summer is generally the least desirable time to visit, with hordes of tourists queuing up at the major monuments and museums and a good chance of hot, dusty weather.
