Miami Tennis

 Sony Ericsson Open
March 21 - April 1, 2007
This annual ATP Masters Series event (unofficially known as "the fifth Grand Slam") is widely viewed as one of North America's most prestigious professional tennis tournaments, featuring 12 days of men's and women's singles and doubles matches played on the hard courts of the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne. Top-ranked players from around the world compete for almost $7 million in prize money, with payouts divided equally between the men's and women's competitions. Adult individual ticket prices in 2007 range from $15 to $50 for standard seats and grandstand passes, or from $80 to $300 or more for premium box and series-level seats. Various ticket packages are offered as well, including some affordable reserved-seat deals at the 400 level of the stadium court. Crandon Park is accessible by car via the Rickenbacker Causeway, which links Key Biscayne to mainland Miami, and discounted Enterprise Rent-A-Car rates are available to spectators who book hotel accommodations through the tournament travel department (see the tournament Web site for details, or call 800-725-5472). There's also a tournament shuttle service from CocoWalk in Coconut Grove, stopping at various hotels en route to Crandon Park.
