Massage and Spa Treatments
Miami's body- and fashion-conscious culture supports an abundance of beauty and fitness centers, including a wide range of independent and hotel-based facilities. Most of the properties featured in our Tennis Channel hotel listings have their own deluxe day spas, with particularly fancy facilities available at Fisher Island, the Conrad, the Four Seasons, the Mandarin Oriental, Grove Isle, Turnberry Isle and the Biltmore. Other good choices include the following:
 The Agua Bathhouse Spa
The Agua Bathhouse Spa at the swanky Delano Hotel in South Beach provides a range of pricey spa and beauty treatments in a minimalist penthouse space with a cool white interior and expansive ocean views. The facility is reserved for women only from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with men welcome during the evening hours.

 Spa of Eden
The modern 55,000-square-foot Spa of Eden at the 1950s-vintage Eden Roc Resort offers an extensive menu of body and beauty treatments at a privileged oceanfront location in Miami Beach. Various massage styles are available in a choice of indoor treatment rooms and private poolside cabanas.

 Standard Miami
An elaborate hydrotherapy-oriented spa takes up a good chunk of space at the Standard Miami, a high-concept boutique hotel with sister properties in Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles and soon New York. The facility on a small island along the Venetian Causeway west of Miami Beach offers guests a choice of steam rooms, saunas and indoor and outdoor bathing options, along with a good selection of massage and beauty services.

Spa V at the Hotel Victor
The opulent and atmospheric underground Spa V at the Hotel Victor in South Beach features a fitness center, a large unisex steam room and Turkish-style hamam, plus a selection of decadent body treatments with provocative names like "Melt Me," "Stone Me," "Mom Me," "Four Play" and "Blackberry Addict."

 Nirvana Spa
Although its location is not particularly glamorous, the Nirvana Spa near the northern end of Miami Beach is a lovely facility with significantly lower rates than its glitzy South Beach cousins. Various massage styles and skin and body treatments are offered, along with saunas and steam rooms, "Alpha Capsule" massage pods, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, yoga and pilates classes and colonic hydrotherapy.

 Acupuncture and Massage College
If high-end hotel spas are beyond your budget, pay a visit to the Acupuncture and Massage College in southwestern Miami, where student intern massage treatments start at $45 a session. There's also a clinic staffed by recent graduates of the program with rates ranging from $60 to $80 per session.
