Saddlebrook International Tennis
|Founded by the late Harry Hopman, Saddlebrook tennis program continues to teach his principles. Hopman was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1978 and was the most successful of all Davis Cup captains, leading Australia to 16 Cups between l939 and 1967. Emphasizing fitness long before it was popular, he worked with and inspired some of the greatest Austalian players, including Frank Sedgman, Lew Hoad, Ken Rosewall, Roy Emerson, Rod Laver, John Newcombe, Fred Stolle, and Tony Roche.
Hopman emigrated to the U.S. in the late 1960s and worked with Vitas Gerulaitis and John McEnroe at the Port Washington Tennis Academy in New York.
