The flagship of professional tennis academies, Nick Bollettieri founded the first full-time tennis boarding school in 1978. His military-style training programs are well established and no one can dispute his success as Bollettieri has coached nine No. 1 players, including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Martina Hingis, Monica Seles, the Williams sisters and Maria Sharapova. The academy methodology has been adapted to incorporate more of the mental game but continues to be one of the most intense training programs in the world. All skills levels are welcome to participate in the adult programs, which are based on the same principles of technical, tactical, physical and mental training as the pros receive. While concentrating on raising the level of your own game, you might gain some additional inspiration by catching a glimpse of a current pro practicing nearby.
