Of the seven players fighting for one spot (the last one), only one is not playing this week. Veteran Carlos Moya has chosen to sit out this week in order to give it his best (last?) shot in Paris. Haas, Robredo, Gasquet and Ljubicic are in Lyon while Berdych and Blake are in Basel. Remember that not one of these guys made it past the 2nd round in Madrid. They are therefore rested and ready for the final battle to begin.
