Angela Sun is a reporter for Tennis Channel's daily news show, Court Report.
In addition to her work with Tennis Channel, Sun hosts Yahoo Sports Minute and covered the 2010 Winter Olympics. She co-hosts NBC’s national newsmagazine LXTV:First Look, which celebrates fashion, cuisine, culture, and all things luxurious. Sun has also field produced for MTV News, and Germany's Pro Sieben Network.
As ESPN’s first Asian-American female correspondent, Sun has reported from the top of the mega-ramp at the Summer X Games; and the fresh powder of Aspen for Winter X. She continued her duties on ESPN Hollywood, X Center on ESPN2, ESPN Interactive TV, ESPN360, EXPN.com, as well as online at Lat34 and AOL through 2008. She also hosted the Vans Tahoe Cup for Wasserman Media Group's SPORTNET in 2008.
As a studio host and correspondent for Al Gore’s Emmy Award-winning Current TV from 2005-2008, Sun also produced, shot and wrote her own stories. Her international work focused on such countries as the Philippines, Australia, China and Guatemala, to name a few. In the summer of 2005 she won a "Telly Award" for her three-part documentary series about Underground Christian Missionaries in China.
Sun began her career interning at High School Sports Focus in the San Francisco Bay Area executive producing a local cable newsmagazine show. She then hosted for Extreme Sports Channel and covered various skate, BMX and surf events for the LG Action Sports Championships and Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Championship Tour. In 2003, Sun served as lead correspondent on Fox Sports Net’s 54321, followed by reporting for FSN’s DIG! volleyball newsmagazine show.
