Leif Shiras

As an announcer and commentator, Leif Shiras' Tennis Channel activities include a variety of men's and women's tournaments throughout the year. A former ATP tour pro, Shiras joined the network when it launched in 2003.

With more than a decade in the television booth for both the men’s and women’s professional tours, Shiras has appeared on ESPN, FOX Sports, USA Network, TNT Latin America and Sky network, and has been a contributing writer for Tennis and Tennis Life magazines.

Shiras competed professionally from 1981 to 1991. He played on the U.S. Davis Cup team in 1989 and 1991, and won the Wimbledon 33’s doubles championship in 1995.

An NCAA All-American in 1979 and 1980, Shiras graduated from Princeton University in 1981 with a bachelor of arts in English. He currently lives in Laguna Hills, Calif., with his wife and their two sons.
