US Open of Squash

The sport of squash was first played over 100 years ago and is now played by nearly 20 million people in over 150 countries. The World Squash Federation (WSF) is the international governing body of the sport, and helps to coordinate the calendar of more then 100 tournaments worldwide.

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) organizes the year long World Tour of men’s squash. Tournaments include the U.S. Open along with stops in England, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Sweden and Qatar among many others. At the elite events, prize money can reach $60,000, and players compete during the season in hopes of reaching the Super Series Finals (top 8 players).

The Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA) sanctions professional events for women, including tournaments in China, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico and the U.S. The players earn prize money and gain points to boost their world ranking.
