Famed luxury stylist Julien Farel of The Julien Farel Group has been grooming the heads of celebrities, socialites and jetsetters since the opening of his first salon on Madison Avenue in December 2001. He has since opened two other salons, The Setai Fifth Avenue in NYC & Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas, as well as celebrated the recent launch of his product line Julien Farel Haircare. Julien is thrilled to be returning as the official hairstylist to the players of the US Open for the sixth year.

Kei Nishikori - Before he had even walked into the style suite, our Japanese stylist Mayumi had been remarking on how proud she was that a Japanese player was in the top 20 - then walked in Kei Nishikori, the #18 ranked men’s player from Japanese. The two instantly clicked as he explained how he wanted his hair cut in Japanese. At the end of his haircut, he signed a tennis ball with his name (in Japanese of course) for Mayumi and smiled for the camera!

Varvara Lepchenko - Varvara Lepchenko, Professional US Tennis player, ranked #32 in the world, followed the trend we are seeing here at the US Open. Many of the players are opting for shorter hair, but Varvara took it one step further, and had Julien cut her a stylish bob! We wonder if this will be a trend we will continue to see throughout the fall, or just through the tennis season!

Horacio Rearte - Horacio Rearte, one of the world's most prominent tennis coaches, who has trained the likes of Jennifer Capriati and Andy Roddick, came into the Style Suite yesterday to chop off some of his curly locks. JF Stylist, Atsuko, encouraged Coach Rearte to keep his hair on the longer side as he usually keeps his hair long, but there were smiles all around as lots of hair fell to the floor!
