What a bummer that Tennis Channel is not covering these matches live. I just discovered that they are taped and are at least two days or more after the fact. I hope some Tennis Channel administrator reads these postings. Tennis Channel you suck.
Well, I enjoyed watching the Freedoms/Smash event again tonight, after being there in person last night. So, the taped version was good for me. (Live is also good, however.)
On another note, I don't know who was responsible for the trivia questions, Tennis Channel or WTT, but the one about the first Russian woman to win a slam was confusing. Of the 4 choices, of course, the answer was Sharapova for Wimbledon in 2004. BUT! Anastasia Myskina had won the French a few weeks earlier in the same year. And, in a sort of Russian female hat trick, Kuznetsova won the U. S. Open that September.
