The Tennis Channel Internship Program offers unpaid academic credit only.  In return you receive on-the-job experience in an exciting, fast-paced sports entertainment TV Network environment covering one of the most electrifying games in the world today – TENNIS!   Our program offers terrific opportunities for students in academic programs with concentration in entertainment/and or business.  Internships are available throughout the year with schedule flexibility that meets the academic semesters and quarters.  Completion of our internship program does not guarantee employment by Tennis Channel.

Programming Intern – Fall 2009
This internship will take place from September-November 2009 and is part-time approximately three half-days per week.

Tennis Channel will work with school to fulfill academic internship requirements.  Great opportunity for hands-on production experience, and television-industry references.  Duties for the production internship include, but not limited to:

• Screen programming for promotional (“snipe zones”) windows (would be seated at a viewing station and using a beta sp or digibeta deck to view tapes)
• Log promotional windows on the program timing/runsheet
• Update and track competitive programming on competitive calendar
• Assist department with various research projects via internet and other means
• Help with the creation and maintenance of tournament binders
• Filing, copying and other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

§  College junior or senior
§  Strong written and verbal communication skills
§   Must be able to work 20hrs minimum per week
§  Off-site event work/travel possible
§  Car and driver’s license required, along with proof of insurance
