PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP (Santa Monica and Culver City)
This internship is located in both our Santa Monica and Culver City offices and is designed to expose you to various areas of production: pre-production preparation, live events, original programming and post-production. The goal of our department is to boost creativity and produce entertaining programming. You can contribute to this end by helping us stay organized and work on new efficiencies. At the end of your internship we hope you will understand how this production department operates and where you think you'll fit in if you choose a career in sports television.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Logging tennis tapes for time code and shot description
• Data entry of tape information into in-house library system
• Heavy emphasis on logging content to help us transition to a tapeless environment
• Burning DVD copies and making tape dubs
• Delivering tapes to multiple Tennis Channel facilities
• Assisting with live remote productions and world feeds (often on weekends)
• Preparing and assisting with camera and gear for local shoots
Qualifications:
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience using Final Cut Pro
• Previous experience logging tapes
• Keen attention to detail, for properly maintaining records and organizing tasks
• Sharp focus, adaptable, self-motivated and driven personality
• Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for delegated work
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs of gear and equipment
• Accessible transportation and weekend availability
• Minimum commitment: 2 full days of work per week (12 - 16 hours)
• Knowledge of Tennis and the ability to identify professional tennis players is a major plus
REMOTE PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP (Santa Monica)
This is a support role in the Production Department, interning for the Remote Production Manager in our Santa Monica office. This internship is designed to provide motivated and interested students with knowledge of Tennis with hands-on experience in various areas of production: pre-production, post-production and remote production.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting with live remote pre-production preparation
• Data entry of tape information into in-house library system
• Music cue entry into in-house music system
• Delivering tapes to multiple Tennis Channel facilities
• Burning DVD copies and making tape dubs
• Logging and digitizing tapes
• Creating clip reels
• Duties will also include light administrative support
Qualifications:
• Must be detail oriented and responsible, with ability to multitask
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience using Final Cup Pro and linear editing
• Knowledge of Tennis and ability to identify professional tennis players a plus
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs of gear and equipment

NEWS INTERNSHIP (Culver City)
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Story research and pitching stories
• Screening of footage
• Various activities involved in the daily production of news content
Qualifications:
• An in-depth knowledge of Tennis (both professional tours and the recreational game itself)
• Eager to learn TV production and willingness to perform basic production tasks
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent writing skills and a passion for media content creation
PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIP (Santa Monica)
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with on-air scheduling
• Research competitive programming
• Analyze ratings and screen network programming
• Organize department tape/DVD log
Qualifications:
• Highly motivated

ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIP (Santa Monica)
This is a support role in the Original Programming Department interning at our Santa Monica office. This internship offers a comprehensive understanding of all three phases of television production (pre-production, production and post-production) as well as insights into media clearances and quality control. This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in being a media professional in television/film, preferably in sports entertainment.
Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Programming research
• Footage screening/logging and digitization
• Coordination of production binders
• Burning DVD copies and making tape dubs
• Quality control of show outputs
• Participation in local Tennis Channel shoots
Qualifications:
• Preferred area of study: television/radio/film, communication/journalism, and/or sports studies
• Demonstrated media production know-how
• Basic understanding of Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Excel/Word, as well as familiarity with media production equipment
• Minimum commitment: 2 full days of work per week (12 - 16 hours), up to 40 hrs available

RESEARCH INTERNSHIP (Santa Monica)
Overview:
This internship reports to our SVP of Research in our Santa Monica office. Participation in this internship will aid in your analytical and story-telling skills through the use of qualitative and quantitative data. Projects are focused on audience trends and originate within various departments of the Tennis Channel including Ad Sales, Programming, and Affiliate Marketing. Nielsen Reporting is the key tool used to study audience trends and viewership. The data you collect and analyze has potential to be used throughout the company as a whole to aid in widespread decision-making and business growth.

TENNIS INDUSTRY RELATIONS (TIR) (Santa Monica and New York)
Seeking Tennis Industry Relations intern to assist with grassroots marketing, events, industry communications and promotions, as well as other department needs. Tennis Channel will work with school to fulfill academic internship requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Tournament promotion strategy, logistics and execution
• Industry communications and outreach / creation of opportunities for TC visibility in the community
• Assist Marketing, Affiliate and Ad Sales groups with grassroots marketing initiatives
• Research: Industry events and calendar maintenance, athlete databases
• Assist with production of local player shoots
• Begin weekly compilation of ATP/WTA tournament winners and assist in sending notes to players and their agent
• Additional TIR duties will include getting DVDs to all players that have been featured on TC original programming
• College junior or senior

ON-AIR PROMO/SHORT FORM INTERNSHIP (MARKETING) (SANTA MONICA)
The On-Air Promo/Short Form marketing internship is located in our Santa Monica office. It commences ahead of the French Open/Roland Garros (May 27-June 11) and goes through the middle or end of August. Working closely with the Producer and Production team, you will enjoy a complete experience by being included in meetings and edit sessions. You will be asked to write practice scripts or edit your own video, depending on your interests.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Screening/logging
Script and interview transcription
Research
Obtaining and downloading videos and stills
Shoot assistance (script supervision, cue cards, props, catering, etc.)
V/O session assistance
Tape runner
Qualifications:
