Venus Williams, Andy Roddick Among Stars to be Featured in Live Primetime Matches
Tennis Channel, the only 24-hour, television-based multimedia destination dedicated to both the professional sport and tennis lifestyle, today announced its primetime television coverage of the 2013 Mylan World TeamTennis (WTT) season in July. The network’s lineup during the three-week summer season will feature stars such as Venus Williams, Andy Roddick, and twins Bob and Mike Bryan.
From July 7 to July 29, Tennis Channel will spotlight a 2013 WTT primetime match each week, as well as an encore of the finals tournament at the end of the season. In addition to Williams, Roddick and the Bryans, matches on Tennis Channel from this year’s WTT season will include five-time Grand Slam singles champion Martina Hingis, who will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in July.
The network will also air three 30-minute highlight programs recapping each week’s play.

The Mylan World TeamTennis Pro League presented by Geico is made up of 10 franchises comprising two conferences, and often features sudden death matches and boisterous crowd participation. The brainchild of Billie Jean King and her former husband Larry King, the league has showcased many of tennis’ premier players since its debut in 1974. The complete 2013 season runs from July 7-29.
