Tennis Channel, the only 24-hour, television-based multimedia destination dedicated to both the professional sport and tennis lifestyle, today named Peter Steckelman senior vice president of business and legal affairs, effective immediately. He comes
to the network with more than 15 years of experience in major corporate business affairs practice.
Steckelman reports to Bill Simon, chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Tennis Channel. Working in the network's Los Angeles headquarters, Steckelman manages all business and legal affairs activities. This includes content licensing, programming, tournament production matters, intellectual property oversight, and athlete names and likenesses. He also serves as Tennis Channel's senior in-house legal affairs advisor.
In addition to being responsible for legal aspects associated with the network's various brand platforms, Steckelman will work closely with Tennis Channel executive teams to maintain transactional contract precedent, coordinate network and licensed footage use, manage sweepstakes, ensure broadband media distribution and synchronize the network's overall distribution through its affiliates.

Steckelman spent the past three years at Konami Digital Entertainment, where he negotiated and drafted licensing, merchandising, game development and distribution agreements for both Konami-based and studio-owned intellectual properties. He has held positions in business and legal affairs at The Walt Disney Company, Fox Family Worldwide, Mattel and Warner Bros.
A lifelong tennis aficionado who plays in recreational leagues and pro-am tournaments, Steckelman earned his bachelor of arts from Rutgers University and juris doctor from New York Law School.
