LOS ANGELES, August 16, 2004 —
The Tennis Channel, a 24-hour cable television network devoted to tennis and other racquet sports, is live this week from the fifth men’s stop on the newly launched US Open Series – the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, D.C. In addition to live television coverage Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the network will telecast Sunday’s doubles final live at 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT.
This is the tournament’s 36th consecutive year in the capital. The 2004 field is highlighted by one of the game’s living legends, Andre Agassi, along with former US Open and Wimbledon winner Lleyton Hewitt, James Blake, Robby Ginepri, Alex Corretja and Todd Martin.
