LOS ANGELES, February 24, 2009 —
Tennis Channel, the only 24-hour, television-based multimedia destination dedicated to both the professional sport and passionate lifestyle of tennis, today announced the promotion of Dean Hadaegh to chief technology officer and senior vice president, technical operations. He previously served in the position of chief technology officer and vice president, administration. In addition to his current duties managing the strategic direction of all infrastructure and network facilities, the veteran information technology strategist will now oversee Tennis Channel’s technical operations division as well.
Hadaegh’s promotion is effective immediately. He remains based in the network’s Los Angeles headquarters and continues to report to Bill Simon, chief financial officer and executive vice president, business operations, Tennis Channel.
“Since its outset, Dean has played an integral role in Tennis Channel’s launch, organizational development, satellite offices and HD expansion,” said Simon. “Under his management we have equipped ourselves with the latest in multimedia broadcast technology and a new production-and-operations facility that is state of the art. I’m tremendously pleased that, as our network covers the US Open for the first time this year, Dean will be at the helm of all technical operations, ensuring that our viewers enjoy the highest telecast quality available.”
Hadaegh spearheaded the launch of Tennis Channel’s Los Angeles production and operations facility that debuted one year ago. Guiding the entire project from concept to creation, he built a studio environment that accommodated the network’s move to high definition in 2008 and that allows for future media platform development and international broadcast growth. Additionally, Hadaegh has managed significant office relocations and renovations at both the network’s Los Angeles headquarters and New York office.
Before joining Tennis Channel prior to the network’s launch in May 2003, Hadaegh was president and chief technology officer at digital-branding and Web-development company S.O.M.A., Inc., based in Venice, Calif. In this position from 1998-2002, he developed all aspects of business and the company’s financial planning and management, operations and client account management. Prior to that, Hadaegh spent 1990-1998 as president and chief executive officer of Camarillo, Calif.-based Logicode Technology, Inc. His career also has included tenures as vice president of information technology and chief information technology officer of both PolyGram Filmed International/ITC Entertainment Group, Inc. of North Hollywood, Calif., and Spelling Entertainment, Inc. of Los Angeles.
