THE TENNIS CHANNEL ANNOUNCES US OPEN SERIES SCHEDULE

Network to Offer 72 Hours of Live and Same-Day Coverage in 2006

The Tennis Channel, the only 24-hour, television-based multimedia destination dedicated to tennis and the healthy, active lifestyle that surrounds it, will air 72 hours of live and same-day match coverage during seven tournaments in this summer’s US Open Series. Beginning tomorrow, the network’s coverage this year includes six doubles finals and repeats of all matches for more than 100 hours devoted to US Open Series play.

The Tennis Channel will televise weekday and weekend singles and doubles matches at the RCA Championships (Indianapolis), Countrywide Classic (Los Angeles), Bank of the West Classic (Stanford, Calif.), Acura Classic (San Diego), Legg Mason Tennis Classic (Washington, D.C.), JPMorgan Chase Open (Carson, Calif.) and Rogers Cup (Montreal). The network has been a partner with the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of the tournament series, since the US Open Series’ inception in 2004, along with fellow broadcasters ESPN, CBS Sports and NBC Sports. Combined, the four television networks will air more than 200 hours of live and same-day US Open Series coverage in 2006.
